This is the genuine Nissan rotor button, located inside the distributor on your TB45 petrol engine. It's a critical component of your ignition system, responsible for distributing high-voltage current from the ignition coil to the correct spark plug terminal inside the distributor cap. The tip of the rotor button wears down from constant electrical arcing, and the plastic body can become brittle. A worn or failing rotor button will cause a weak or inconsistent spark, leading to engine misfires, rough idling, poor fuel economy, and eventual starting issues.
