This HPD top-mount intercooler kit is designed to be installed above the engine of the vehicle, venting through the bonnet, to provide a massive improvement in cooling performance for your turbocharged TD42 engine. This comprehensive kit includes everything you need to dramatically reduce intake temperatures, allowing your engine to produce more power and torque reliably.

An intercooler is essential for any turbocharged diesel engine. The turbocharger compresses air, which significantly heats it up. Hot air is less dense and contains less oxygen, limiting the engine's combustion efficiency and power output. This HPD kit cools that hot, compressed air before it enters the engine, resulting in a denser air charge that allows for more efficient fuel burn, leading to substantial gains in performance and improved engine longevity.

If you run a turbocharged TD42 without an effective intercooler, you risk dangerously high Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs). Persistently high EGTs can lead to catastrophic engine damage, including melted pistons, cracked cylinder heads, and premature turbo failure, resulting in costly and extensive repairs.
