A Must for winching / recovery safety. Whilst recovery and winching straps are rated at being exceptionally strong, it is essential that you take safety precautions with fitting a damper to avoid potential injuries.

In the unlikely event of a winch rope or steel cable breaking under excessive load, the winch damper will absorb most of the engergy in the cable or strap, therby significantly reducing the recoil.
